Celebrating 15 years in NW Portland, CAFE NELL has quickly become a neighborhood institution: French inspired meets urban American.

A friendly atmosphere with simple, great-tasting food that is satisfying, attractive, and flavor packed. Prepared daily from the freshest local, regional and organic ingredients. Located in a historic, tree lined corner of the historic alphabet district of Northwest Portland. The space is simultaneously classic, casual, and elegant.

The indoor/outdoor dining room (created as a response to Covid) houses a full bar and is an elegant, yet whimsical and unique space. Airy in the summer, and romantic in the cooler/rainier months, with heaters at every table. A unique space for a party from 20 to 120.

The cozy interior has been described as a jewel box. With an intimate windowed bar and dining room, you can watch the neighborhood stroll by in warmer months, or cozy up by the fire in cooler, rainier weather.
